Hey guys! Good news - I don't have to go on an IV drip. BUT, I am now on my 7th course of antibiotics... I have to take two a day for 7 days, and then take one a day for 28 days! ‍♀️ they tested my urine and it had high protein and glucose in it, even though my blood sugar was fine.
(I'll try my best to reply to all comments this time, but this app is always messing up! )

You're setting a bad record for the most courses of antibiotics ever taken in a row. In all my years in this profession I've never heard of such a thing. If I were you I'd have seen a urologist a long time ago. I bet they don't even have an organism that they're treating. Good luck though.

Seriously, insist on seeing a specialist about this. Right? Doesn't that make good sense. They keep doing the same thing hoping for a different outcome. I'm not sure there are 7 different classes of antibiotics used to treat UTIs that can be take orally.

Wow! 7 times! I agree with @TheBigNewt perhaps it's time to explore something else if this batch doesn't help? Take care!

And I thought my sore throat was a record breaker - back in my 20's I was given lots of different ones, with no effect, and then they tried one newly released and - zap - two days later I was feeling that I might be going to live instead of hoping for a merciful release. Of course I took all of them exactly on time.
I do hope that you are soon feeling better.

I know. But they've done everything they can do. They've done a blood test which came back ok, they've done a scam which was fine and they've tested my urine and it was fine.
I've just realised that I haven't been on 7 different types, I've been on five different types, now I'm taking some more that I've had but a longer course. There's not much else that can be done

I, too, think there might be something else at play here... I hope there is not and that this course of antibiotics blitzes it... but perhaps source alternative an diagnosis from a different consultant or a specialist. Always always insist. Get well soon!

why can't everyone get on........
if ketones are high - please ring 111 for their assistance
I am not a doctor -- only a fellow T1 -- but with persistent antibiotics and kidney issues you have mentioned and now ketones
it sounds to me like you need further investigation promptly
