advice needed!!!!

yes i thought so my own gp dosnt have any specialist diabetic nurse there so thats why they cudnt give me insulin also A&E cant give me insulin either unless it was a life or death situation they wanted to send me to the diabetic ward to give me some insulin there but decided not to seeing as i was feeling fine a bit worried about the liver situation but i will have to wait and see what that is hopefully they wont try and palm anymore tablets off on me as i have tried them all with bad results

Hi Cath, if I was offered an overnight to get my treatment started, I would have stayed in, in the hope that the doctor would have been to see me in the morning. Plus they would have taken your bs at regular interval and built up a picture and maybe you wold have been relaxed knowing that you were in the right place to get the help you so need.
As you know how you feel with your bs on the highside, then you would have felt ok, but really you were not that ok, sorry I dont want to sound nasty, this condition is so hard to deal with at times. Please let us know how things are going, we are all here, ttfn

It might be worth in investing in some ketosticks. If you continue to get those sorts of highs, check your ketone levels, if they are way up too you must go back to the hospital straight away.

they wanted to keep me in overnight i was happy to stay to get it sorted out it was the doctors decision to send me home as i didnt feel unwell she told me i could go home she phoned the diabetes department to fast track my appointment so hopefully i should get one for next week i had my ketones checked and they where fine my blood sugars where 18.5 when they sent me home the lady i spoke to wanted to keep me in it was a consultant who said i didnt need to stay in if i dont get an appointment for next week i will go back

thank you i do to will let you all know when my appointment is and how i get on ....slighly worried about my liver but hopefully it will be ok

HI ALL JUST TO LET YOU ALL KNOW I HAVE MY APPOINTMENT ITS ON THE 2ND SEPT SO ALOT EARLIER THAN THE LAST ONE :)

Thats great news Cath, just keep your carbs as low as you can til then, and drink plenty of fluid.

been to hospitial today have to go on insulin doc told me the tablets have caused the damage to my liver its not as bad as it was so thats good news i have a question now tho what will happen to my driving licence ? as i know i will have to tell the dvla will i end up loosing my licence as i need my car to get to work and will the fact that ive been to A&E with it effect it thanks for any replies
