Morning all

I had a higher than normal reading post exercise today 6.4 after 30 min cardio on the cross trainer and a shower

Previous readings (although not many for comparison) have been late 4 or early 5

The difference being I had breakfast prior to those gym session (porridge/egg/nuts) and the reading would have been circa 2.5 hrs. after breakfast.

Today I am starting my weekend IF 16:8 and tried a session without breakfast this morning. As I said at the start I was surprised by the number.

Should I be, or is it my liver doing it's job in feeding me?

I have the same problem when exercising .. I think it is quite common that liver raises blood glucose when doing excessive exercise... but then my HbA1c is 34 even though my blood glucose is very seldome under 5.3 mmol...

I dont think you should worry , it is definitely better to keep on exercising as much as possible I believe

I also go exercising without breakfast many times

thanks @Freema I will definitely be keeping up the exercise, I know how important it is.

I was just a little surprised by the reading this morning as not expecting it.

By afternoon things were better 4.7 before lunch 5.1 2hr after lunch .( which is a Friday favourite mozzarella balls, sun-dried tomato and ham )

Have a great weekend
