My first thoughts were "why me" (and not my brothers!!)
30 years ago it felt as if you were the only youngster in the world to get type 1. No internet for research, just the guidance of the NHS.
It took me 6 weeks of crying myself to sleep every night to wake up to the fact that this diabetes (type 1) was forever with me, so better be nice to it than hate it.
