Having my driving licence revoked, just to correct some points , I have not ever had a hypo that has required help from another person, although a friend who has never seen a hypo called an ambulance as they were frightened and panicked , I contacted my consultant , DSN and GP all never had a letter enquiry about my diabetes from DVLC in fact I suffer from hyperglycaemia , DVLA ( medical ) section when I finally spoke to a human voice could only advise me to reapply for my licence, they could give no information as to why my licence was revoked, - they asked if I put on the form that I had hypos( I dont think I did but I may have misunderstood a question and ticked the wrong box no way to correct this as the computer just reads boxes ,having my licence revoked has forced me to give up work, unable to get to work for even a 9.30 am start time, the last bus from the town nearest to my work is 2.5 miles away , the last bus from the town to my village is 3.20 pm, I live only 9 miles from the nearest town that has a bus station, and I would need to change at least twice ,so even if I could start later I need to finish by 2.45 to get to bus station, I have sold my truck, also find it increasing hard to attend my GP surgery no public transport (surgery only 2..5 miles away,) hospital appointments have to be planned well in advance , I am lucky that I have excellant friends who do take me to the shops, banks and appointments if I need, but I fell depressed about losing my independence, thankfully I live in a super beautiful village that does have a small shop, but no post office, pub , hall schools , I have spent money on transport as needed I wonder that if I do get my licence back can I afford a car, or to find another job, selling my home to move to another area is also not an option most houses are more expensive that my homes value
