Are there others here who are unable to get normal metre readings while eating anything? I had sort of given up on getting normal readings, and was just trying to stay in the "pre" range through carb restriction, but just went 3 days without eating much of anything (for logistical reasons--travel + allergies + schedule messup--not illness) and at the end of that had my first normal fasting glucose in over a year. I've never been so keen on the idea of fasting, preferring small amounts of food regularly to keep things stable as possible, but now I'm wondering. I know there's a fasting forum and am beginning to explore it, but am unclear whether that's a good path for me to pursue or not, since I'm not trying to lose weight and I bike commute to/from work so have been concerned about being too low-energy. Anyone here have advice or experience with fasting helping when nothing else does?
