Frequent urinating before waking up in the morning

I mentioned this to my diabetic team that I can go to the toilet 10 or more times before the morning and it's always a full bladder.
The strange thing is this normally happens when I'm around 5.5 or lower,so it's nothing to do with high readings in my case.Due to my age they've ruled out prostate issues but have been advised to get a referral for tests from my GP.

I read somewhere that the need to pee is often caused by dropping blood sugar levels. Thus if high and drops to 5.5.
