Hi all

I'm struggling at the moment. I just came of Metformin as the stomach upsets were too much for me to take after putting up with it for 3 months or more and after trying different doses, times of taking it etc I decided I can't live with it. So a visit to the diabetic nurse she decided to give me Sitagliptin. I have done lots of reading from other people online who have taken it and to be honest there isn't alot I can find and the information I do find is all over the place, but, mostly bad. I'm totally petrified of taking it. I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me regarding this... also your thoughts and ideas on going straight onto Lantus instead? the Lantus doesn't scare me one bit (as I have son type 1 diabetic). My bloods are around the 10 to 12 mark I do not eat many carbs I'd say about 50-60 a day and I'm 51 years old and (body mass index of overweight). Thanks in advance for any input.
