Just to let everyone know we've implemented the Most Popular widget in the forum on the right hand side. It's being really well used on the main page of the site and after positive feedback we've put it into the forum!

Once you've logged in you have the ability to hide it, too.

If there are any problems, please press Ctrl + F5 to refresh your browsers. If there are still any issues, please post them here and we'll try our best to fix/resolve them!

How do you hide it?.....it seems to be slow things down and you have to hit the back-button twice to go back to where you were before.

There should be a little arrow on the right hand side of it. If you can't see it press Ctrl + F5 (may need to do this twice in some cases) and then it should allow you to open/close it?

Trust me, I found the arrow very quickly!

I do find it a bit intrusive but at least we can hide it if needs be.

Yes clicking on the arrow has removed it :)

Nope, I'm back to moan at you! Even if the wee arrow is pressed and the page maximises back to it's normal splendour, every time I want to view a new topic the minute I hit the button, the page minimises again.

It's only for a second but it is really off putting to the eye. Sorry.

Oh so that's what that is - thought it was my screen playing up.

WHAT A TERRIBLE IDEA !

and it seems to be slowing everything down. Can we rename it the 'Most Unpopular' widget

grumble grumble grumble...

As long as it does minimise, that's fine.

We're testing it out during this week and then we'll see what to do from there.

@Swimmer - press Ctrl + F5 (may need to do this twice on some machines) and it should be visible?

Not TOO bothered about change, it always takes a bit of time to get used to but seriously guys, the constant maximising/minimising every time the page is refreshed is a pain. If it stayed the same after the arrow had been pressed it would be fine, at present it's not.

Hopefully it can be rectified asap, ta.

@ladybird64 - if you minimise it once it should ALWAYS remain minimised as long as you're logged in. Is this not happening to you? If not, please try Ctrl + F5 as that should be the case?

Swimmer try pressing the "Reload this page" button in Chrome. I had the same problem with Chrome but then the arrow appeared and the evil thing has now departed.

HI admin. What is happening is that after I press the arrow, the page is indeed minimising. Everytime I move to another page or topic, it maximises for a split second, like a large flashing sensation on the screen where I can (albeit very briefly) see the side panel, it does stay minimised apart from that.

Am I making sense? :)

Having just read Defren's post she has explained it succinctly. Cheers Jo!

Sorry, I don't like it at all either. I find the time lapse during which the page widens is very irritating (especially on the iPad) and slows me down.

Nor me.. For the same reason as Daisy etc..

Can't you put it as an option in user's control panel, so if you want it you can load it from there rather than as it as the moment if you don't want it, you have to wait for it to hide itself!

If not can't you stick it at the bottom of the thread! So if you want it the you can scroll down to it!
