Pre-workout meal tips before running?

Hello,

I'm currently on a combination of Ketogenic/Low Carb diet.

I plan to do an intensive run for 1+ hours on mornings or evenings to loose weight.

What is the best pre-workout meal before running for 1+ hours?

I usually eat porridge and take less insulin to get the blood sugar up to around 12 so I can have the energy to run for 1+ hour.

Also, what snacks are recommended if I'm running low with my sugar?

Not a pre-meal suggestion but, when I was on injections, rather than eating extra before exercise, I added some fruit squash to my water to maintain BG through the exercise.
Through trial and error, I was able to tweak the dilution to my needs (which is not possible with pre-mixed isotonic/lucozade options).
