I am about to go on my son's school residential trip next month. The school are expecting me to look after a group of 10 children ( with my son being one of them). My concern is how I'm meant to look after other kids when I am trying to deal with his requirements like food times and having to monitor his bg and deal with any hypos's. I know that there are other children in his group that also have medical conditions, so it may be difficult for me to leave my group if I had an issue with my son.
Any advice on this issue is welcome and also what provision the school should be making for my son if I decide not to go.
