i get severe back pain now and again and i know its to do with neuropathy affecting my nerve endings.i forget the name my specialist gave me for it but i am now wheel chair bound when i go out and in agony when i even walk to the loo and sitting back down again.they have put me on gabapentin, paracetamol, codine and now morphine aswell but i am still in pain.can anyone advise me how to obtain some pain relief.i am type 1 since the age of nine partially sighted, all the neuropathys and stage 3b kidney disease.i am at the moment at my wits end by being in so much pain.
my legs are also acting like a colander leaking water continually and i just cant stop it.i am on fruismide but they took me off my other water duiectics due to my kidney damage.
i just feel awful and dont know where to turn to for help.i have a good doctor and specialist but they dont seem to have the answers either??

I find that lying on my back on the floor with my legs up on the sofa is a relef. I'm on gabapentine too. It's hard to read a book or watch tv from that position though! :)
