Sudden BG changes - hypos

Hi All

The last couple of days i have had a few mild Hypos, 3.2-3.6. These have happened approx 4 hours after eating. i wonder if suddenly Novorapid is lasting longer, or i need to adjust my carb ratio?

The last 6 months have been near perfect, levels generally always good. Fasting between 6.5 and 7.2
I am on a split Lantus dose of 18U twice a day, and carb count to account for Novorapid dosing. Accu Check Aviva Expert meter, with Carb ratios set up in 3 blocks at 1:8. The hypos have been late morning, late afternoon, and late evening, so i really think i should revise my carb ratios before doing any basal adjustments?

I have had a mild cold recently, but this is just a bit weird!

Any ideas would be appreciated:)

Thanks!

4 hours plus it could be your basal insulin is set too high, try some fasting bg checks to see if this is the case.

Thanks Noblehead. Will have a check. Now just tested and have trace ketones. I wish diabetes was just predictable. First it works then it doesn't. Oh well life goes on
