Hello Ladies (sorry gents not one for you)
Im wondering whether other women are struggling to keep control of their blood sugars whilst undergoing the change.
I am not taking HRT and have suffered to varying degrees with disturbed sleep due to night sweats and discomfort (and embarrassment) with day sweats. My main concern is that I have been struggling to keep my blood sugars under control since this started and wonder if its linked.
I am quite active and exercise on a regular basis (at least 3 times a week) and always take the stairs instead of the lift etc; however I don't seem as able to cope with food like I used to. I use Novorapid and Glargene. A few years ago my insulin requirement went from years of using 8 to around 16-20 and sometimes that wasn't enough. My diabetic nurse told me to be more varied with sites so im now using more areas but still had a problem. it has now settled back to 11 but I still don't feel in control. Weight wise i'm only couple of pounds different than I have always been at just over 8 st.
Is this happening to other ladies or is my body just giving in?
