Here's one for the archives. Ate lunch at 12.30. Overdid the insulin (as can be seen from the drop off and return) then, 5 hours later, a nice random spike. Nothing unusual going on in terms of activity.

I can only assume my body decided my muscles needed some food. Anyone fancy hazarding a guess?

Just a guess, but it's a new sensor. Could it be having a mad minute whilst it settles down?

Hello Tim2000,
Yes i have also had this and after many tests the specialists came back to me and told me that it is die to my gal bladder { to many Gall stones} they said and it has been interesting because on several occasions when my kidneys have had infections my liver goes MAD onece i woke at 5.7 and without eating or drinking 40 minutes later i was 16.6, i have also been in hospital when this has happened, i have had 2 hospitals and tree specialists look at this problem and they have all told me the same thing, now i am on a waiting list at 1 Hospital and on the watch list at the A&E at the other but so far i have only had a few gall bladder pains this now has been going on for over 12 months. I have also every now and again out the blue had my liver do this 3 times since Augaust this year.

Hoping this gives you some satisfaction you are not on your own, by the way this year i have been type1 for 55 years, so i guess i can not complain.

Best regards All
Toby

Aren't you LCHF? That's pretty typical of a LCHF pattern. Doesn't indicate a liver dump.

I think what's odd is the velocity. I'm used to slower rate GNG, but I've not seen anything like that before.

yep, had that kind of thing, but typically post exercise, even aerobic.

Typical pattern of pre exercise test, too low, have 1-25g carbs depending how low. Exercise, come out the other end below 5, no more carbs unless technically hypo.

Retest before dinner and hey presto 7.8 or 8.3.

It's a long while after lunch so would not seem to be a reaction to the low you had.
