How do i get a CGM in the U.K
the nhs don't fund them only certain circumstances they will, then some hospitals will loan you one for a week but other then that you have to self fund them majority of hospitals who loan them will loan you it if needed if not you wont be offered a loan.

Sonny, depending on which pump you get, (and which CGM) you may not need the full startup kit. For example, if you get the Animas Vibe pump, and the Dexcom CGM, you can cut out the cost of the receiver as the pump takes its place. However, you do still need the sensors (approx. £60 every 2-4 weeks) and transmitters (approx. £290 every 12-18 mths). The times the sensors and transmitters last vary, and are only guaranteed for 1 week and 6 months respectively, but most people (including myself) appear to get much longer. These kits are sadly prohibitively expensive, but it does mean those that get them are invested personally and utilise them to their full potential. It has changed my life and wish I could have got one 20 or 30 years ago. HTH, Paul.
