Cool bags and Byetta

I am likely to start on Byetta next week and have a question about keeping the pens cool. I understand that unopened pens need to be kept at 2-8 degrees, but started pens at a more ambient (under 25 degrees) temperature. Since I travel fr around 2 months at a time, I need to keep 2 pens at 2 different temperatures whilst I am on the road, on trains and in hotels. Is there a travel case or coolbag that can handle this? I am Type 2 and currrently on metformin and sitagliptin

Most of us use the Frio travel wallets (available on Amazon and E-bay) when carrying insulin around. I've used it at ambient temps upto 30ish so far and it seemed ok but it was only for a week. Also I didn't need to carry my pens around continuously so they were in an air conditioned hotel room for most of the time at the destination and the travel wallet used mainly just to get there and back.
There are more (expensive) robust items available if you think you need them.

Cheers for this. I'll check them out. Do you use the Frio wallets to carry round the current "open" pens or the unused ones, as I understood that Byetta needs to be stored at different temperatures, depending on whether the unit is in use?

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but once insulin has come out of the fridge you only have 28 days to use it. So I use the wallet for both used and unused pens.
If you're saying that you need to keep insulin below 5° whilst you're on the move for 2 months then I don't know if that's possible.
