I've got a blood test on Wednesday. Hba1c, cholesterol, blood count etc (standard T1 things?) at 9:18. That means I have a perfect window for an hours swim at like 7am

Will this mess anything up at all? Given that I'll have to eat something the fasting BG reading will be void, but I don't really care about that.

Will any of the other readings mess up? Should I care?

If you have been told it`s a fasting test then it`s a bit pointless doing it at all if you're not going to fast. As for should you care, well only you can answer that really.

While they say fasting, fasting does not impact your hba1c (the important one) and the normal cholesterol. The only thing fasting can impact is triglycerides (up to 20% or something, but 20% for me is about 0.18, so I'm not too fussed) and also plasma glucose level which, is basically what is measured about 8 times a day.

I do care - I booked the appointment myself so I can find out how I'm doing but rather than just blindly following fasting advice, if I can do what I want and not impact anything important in the results then I will.

Please actually try be helpful.
