Type 2's with pumps?

I'm a t1 but was curious & thought I'd ask you guys!

I saw a post from a woman who is t2 but has recently had a pump fitted? I too use a pump, but I thought they were purely for t1s because our pancreas is completely shot? I'm fairly ignorant as far as t2 goes, I thought it was controlled purely by diet and/or tablets?

If anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it! :) x

Some type 2s have to move onto Insulin, and there are good examples where using a pump has proven extremely beneficial for them. I believe in Germany T2s are put straight on to insulin. No faffing around with Metformin and such.

There is one on here who saw his insulin requirement drop off dramatically by using the pump. @phil169 is the chap.
