Winter Keepy Uppies Type 2.

No walking today but a heck of a lot of diving around the house doing loads of stuff. Pain levels weren't great today, and I have got some rather nasty blisters which are hurting more today than yesterday! I was going to attempt the mile walk tomorrow but I don't want to push my luck:inpain:. I'll see how I feel in the morning. Looks like we are all moving in our own ways, it's all good!:)

Take care of your feet, and get the blisters sorted before any heroic attempts at long walks.
Never push yourself further than your body tells you is wise.
Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Well done @mo53
I have been for a walk in the sunshine. Ground very slippy. Saw roe deer and a couple of stoats chasing a woodmouse.

Hi everyone glad you are all moving , I'm stuck with my leg up . Went to the Drs and its soft tissue damage causing my knee pain so I've to rest it for a few days .
Taking naproxen too
I don't do the rest thing very well to be honest but my knees sore . I've got some weights so I'll use them tomorrow.
Oh and got flu jag today too..

Well, today was a bit of a washout. Blisters weeping so decided not to do the mile walk to dentist, I didn't feel to great to be honest. This afternoon I felt completely drained, went to lie down, and slept for three hours. The only time I take to my bed is if I'm ill or exhausted, and I think it was the second of those - I've been doing too much for my body to handle. Frustrating to say the least, the post-cancer bod has healed on the outside but it seems to have had long term effects on my stamina. Quite tough to accept at times, anyway, tomorrow's another day, trying to stay upbeat. Bought a skipping rope and exercise bad thingy too (quid each from the Pound Shop!) so when I feel stronger, maybe give that a go.
Hope everyone is good, and that Jamrox heals soon. Lovely description of walk Pipp, good on the swimming Mo:)

@ladybird64 I am concerned that you could be trying too hard. Not knowing how recent the cancer treatment, or anything at all about it, I don't know what to say. I would not advise anyway, as I am not medically qualified, but it seems that you would be best advised by doc, regarding the blisters and the level of activity.

I know how frustrating it can be to be immobile after surgery, and have also been restricted in mobility for over 20 years after becoming disabled in an accident. The whole purpose of these threads, started by jamrox is to make us think about ways to increase activity. When I first started, much of my activity was chair based, out of necessity. I even claimed knitting as my activity once.
Softly, slowly, gradually increase activity. Find a level that does not leave you exhausted. Don't set the goal to unachievable.
I should follow my own advice. Stepping out today, as much as I enjoyed it, ended with me having a fall. I do that from time to time, usually when I push myself too far. Nothing hurt but my dignity, but I expect to hurt a bit tomorrow.
Take it easy, be good to yourself, and do not neglect those blisters.

Hope it is better soon, @Jamrox. Don't try to rush recovery.

A bit of a gentle stroll today. Stayed on solid ground. I was right, a bit sore today fter bouncing around yesterday.

I am so frustrated still . Knee still sore . Tried to move more today but little success .
Will keep trying

I have been a bit lazy with just a short walk this morning. Then it started to rain. Again!
Hope to be able to get back to the swimming pool next week, and start to increase activity.

Hello. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. 45 minutes swimming today , equivalent of 40 lengths. :)

Hello @mo53. I'm still cleaning and painting, carrying boxes downstairs and running back up again, and shopping. We eat about a bucket of veg each every day, mostly bought fresh.
We're having a storm here atm. Bit scary.
Sorry, hello everyone else too.

I'm still struggling with my knee . Did walk around the shops for a couple of hours and will try a bit of a dance at my nieces engagement party tonight . Wish it would go away .

@Jamrox. It is difficult getting the balance right between keeping moving enough and doing more damage. Soft tissue injuries can take ages to heal. It is frustrating when you are hampered like this. Is there a friendly physio you can see for advice?

Travelling most of day. Did big clean up of place before we left. Does that count as activity?
Too tired for anything at home apart from wading through a ton of washing.

Hello @DeejayR you seem to be working very, very hard and using lots of energy. I hope the storm passes quickly. @Jamrox I hope you enjoy the wedding but take it easy. @Pipp . I'm sure the big clean used loads of energy. Take care everyone. :)
