Hi to all,

My hubby went to see chest specailist
today n said that he has copd lung condition emphasemia and bronciastitis, how am i supposed to cope wiv all this while he continues to smoke.

He has also been advised to have a lung transplant.

There have been several threads about smoking cessation on the forums, and it seems to be very difficult. It appears to be an addiction with a very firm grip on those who indulge.

I wish you both the very best of luck with it all, but I honestly can't see that your husband would be put onto a transplant list when he's still smoking.

He may be in shock and trying to rationalise all this through a state of bewilderment. Perhaps you can find a way to give him some thinking space before reacting to it too much.

It sounds like you both have challenges ahead.
