Question about incretins hormones

Hello,

I know that the incretin hormones GLP-1 and GIP help to release insulin. What I am trying to figure out is how to I optimize their functioning in a natural way through eating habits, For example if I eat slower does this help to allow these hormones to work better? What does eating faster do?

Are their certain foods that inhibit their response? does it respond to simple sugars (from fruit) the same way it does to starches and carbs?

Thanks for your help!

I'm sorry you haven't had any responses to your post as yet, and I'm afraid I don't have any wisdom to share with you.

I don't know where you are based, but in UK, it's now 01:00, so there won't be many around, and in the morning it gets busy, so your thread may be getting a bit lost. It might help if you could pop into the site either during the day or earlier evening UK time, when there might be folks around with the appropriate knowledge.

Good luck with it all.
