I have an enlarged liver and spleen from too many DKAs in the past and I'm really worried that it's getting out of control in 16 live in Australia. My HBA1C level is 10.5 I really need some guidance. Please help

Hi @jaimi how come you've had a lot of DKA episodes? Do you take your insulin? Test bgs?

Hi , I'm 15 and I have been on and of ill for months with viruses and then several episodes of DKA ...so serious I was sent to the HighDependencyUnit .
I found out I had an enlarged liver ...so I did several ultrasound scans and blood tests.
My HBA1C has been so high as well ...
But with tight observations and strict management in hospital ...my liver enzyme count has come down a bit from the really high abnormal level it was .
I keep in regular contact with my team as they support me through my difficult times ...But the GP surgery or hospital should be able to give you some advice or help in trying to figure out what's going on .

Mine has been partly viruses and partly HBA1C ..but I'm having liver function and autoimmune tests tommorow to make sure.
Maybe you should speak to the professionals and discuss the effects of HBA1C and other complications .

All the best of luck to you
