Trouble with page load times with the site

anyone else having difficulty with the performance of the site today. Page load times are very slow. Here is the timings from a page load

Terribly slow, taking forever and a day to load.

Yes, noticed at lunchtime, gave up trying to get in. Was slow early evening and still going on. Thought there might be some system admin work going on?

It's been dire. It was so bad earlier today that I did a controlled reboot of our whole network here, not just my laptop or router.

Oh well, probably need doing anyway.

I'm sort of speculating the site will be taking a lot of hits today, bearing in mind the Daily Mail article. That said, I don't know if the forum runs from a different server to the rest of the site.

@Giverny, could you give us some insight when you have a moment?

Same here Ally, its been !ike this since early yesterday with the slow loading. As for getting logged out - that's been going on for months.

yup, since yesterday.
Also, sometimes some icons just appear as little squares.
Like watching paint dry.
Thought it was my PC to start with, so restarted. no improvement.
All other websites seem fine.

Don't know what you can do about adds we don't all get them but maybe Giverny can help

Deadly slow for me (using chrome on PC) since yesterday morning.

Little squares, missing avatars, I'm losing the will to live.
