I found a recipe for a black been chocolate cake that is moderately carby. I'm looking to do a black forest cake with this but don't want to use a regular tin of cherry pie filling. The sugar in a tin of pie filling would make any one diabetic (as my Mom would say). Does any one have any suggestions for trying to make a lower carb version of cherry pie filling? Would something like chia seeds after mashing some cherries thicken it enough? Would that add enough fibre to them to slow down the sugar intake?
Thanks.
Thanks.
