My A1C was 11 last year and has been quite high for years. I started on Thyroid medication for hypothyroidism a few years ago, and the medication is doing its job.
However, over the past month, I have been maintaining blood sugars in the 80 to 100 mg/dL range. Just wondering if the blood sugar normalization might solve the Thyroid problem on its own and I might no longer need to take the Thyroid medication?
Worried I might start suffering HYPER-thyroidism, taking my thyroid medicine, now that I have my blood sugars under control.
I won't see the doctor for 3 more months, for blood tests, is why I ask if there is a possibility of this.
