Thyroid TSH and Blood Sugar Normalization

My A1C was 11 last year and has been quite high for years. I started on Thyroid medication for hypothyroidism a few years ago, and the medication is doing its job.

However, over the past month, I have been maintaining blood sugars in the 80 to 100 mg/dL range. Just wondering if the blood sugar normalization might solve the Thyroid problem on its own and I might no longer need to take the Thyroid medication?

Worried I might start suffering HYPER-thyroidism, taking my thyroid medicine, now that I have my blood sugars under control.

I won't see the doctor for 3 more months, for blood tests, is why I ask if there is a possibility of this.

Thyroid problems are hormonal, and unlikely to be affected by your bgl levels. The only remedy for an underactive thyroid is thyroxin supplementation, If the remedy had included notes on weight reduction or control by diet (as is a recommendation for T2D) then it may have been possible, but I think it is wishful thinking.

However, it is something that does naturally need adjustment from time to time, and GP's should be advising blood tests at regular intervals, which you indicate will be in 3 months time, You could ring the GP and ask that this be bought forward just to make sure.
