Well after weeks and weeks of looking I finally found a job and it is not chefing :), its only in a call centre (so if you get a call from me EDF please reply nicely haha) just over the moon to be working again and in a new enviorment away from cooking after 29 years

Congratulations:)

As an electrician who has a passion for cooking; I would have been glad to trade places with your prior career - but I'm sure the grass is definitely not always greener.

All the best on your new venture.

One more thing, switched for EON to EDF last month so might hear from you soon:D

I am so pleased for you @Gaz-M. All the best and good luck being a 'call guy' :)

Should I risk asking why not chefing?/ Nice environment new job, though. Kitches can get hectic and effect of grills and stoves on health long term is difficult.

Over the years working in kitchens I have had many hypo's, many of which I've I have had to carry on working until I had the chance to check my BS levels which I believe has caused porblems with with my hypo awareness, so feel a change of pace and not working silly hours and shifts is what I need.
