I have just had my MOT and been told my HBN1c indicates an average of 8.5
I have changed my diet again removed more cards and any post supper snacks.
But my morning numbers start at 10 and rise through the morning to nearly 14.
I walk and eat a good breakfast but they still do not drop.
I have had a UTI recently could this be anything to do with it.
HELP!!!!

Morning,

Does that work out at an HbA1c of 8.5% of avg BG of 8.5mmol/L? If it's the latter, then you're doing not too bad overall. This would put your HbA1c at 53 which used to be the very upper end of good control. It has since been knocked down to 48mmol/mol.

Are you a T1D or T2D; insulin dependent, tablets, diet/exercise?

UTI, stress, illness, etc can cause issues with BG control. A wee bit more info wrt your diabetes, treatment regime, diet, etc would help us to ascertain why you have high morning BG that rises steadily throughout the morning. There are many reasons for this.

Regards,
Grant
