Please share times when you may run high and insulin may not work as well as normal. My bloods have been really well controlled but the last few days I am running high and am having to inject twice as much to get back to normal...

If you are running high this will make you temporarily insulin resistant and correction doses will take longer to work and you may need a higher dose. That's fairly standard. But it's always worth checking it's not a problem with the insulin and starting a new pen.

Just change your pens to see if it resolves the problem, but if your unwell then this can explain your high insulin usage.

I find this happens occasionally, my sugars will run high usually for about 48 hrs. Can never really pin point a reason.
Ratios and correction dose's just go out the window.
Personally I check more often and up my insulin uptake without trying to go to far and find myself yo-yoing between highs and lows.
It's annoying but I wouldn't get stressed for the first 2 days just manage the situation as best I can.
Obviously after 2days I would be looking for other causes, basal testing, adjusting ratios, any illness ( do I actually feel OK or am I feeling a bit off? ), have i changed my diet? And the list goes on.

Yes I sometimes go off. I can be very very good levels for about 3 weeks and then it goes up or down. This needs adjustment to basal usually, but because I am on very long acting it takes 3 day's to see the result of a dose change. Then often have to do it again, sometimes again. I have been not good for the last 10 day's but getting on top of it now.
Keep at it don't give up a lot of us are like this.
