I have just had a call with a Doctor from my surgery. He sees no problem in me going on the LCHF diet as long as I eat the good fats.....................yeahhhhhh. He is scheduling a blood test for about 4weeks from today. I didn't tell him that I have been eating LCHF for 10 days already hehe. Don't tell hubby but I think I am in love :);)

Heehee.....
There's been recent research shows that saturated fats don't necessarily do the damage they were once thought to.....
I have a mixture of butter for spreading and olive oil for frying.....

I like that I can have butter... don't think I will be giving that up again!

Excellent news for you @ellagy . For me, when interpreting "healthy fats", I tend to take that as being the Trans Fats as being the biiiiig nasties. Other than that, I have a good range and variety, including both Sat and Unsat fats.

Good luck on your journey, even if you have jumped the starting gun. :)

Thank you AndBreathe... he did mention nuts etc but I like butter and cream and having had to give them up for the last 6years I am not going to give them up without a fight!

I was just so pleased with his reaction.... 'I don't see a problem there, give it a try'.:joyful:
