GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING.

@ickihun - Vicky, still taking the Milk Thistle with my evening meal and I don't feel any different.
I never got my lecture about losing weight this morning from Diabetologist - she just said to watch sugar content in foods, and to eat more Vegetables. (Can't get enough of Veg) But, must stay on the Insulin and SR Metformin, so she is sending GP a letter stating that fact.
You will be missed greatly Vicky with your 'words of wisdom' - but, you have probably noticed that I am only posting on Fasting Threads, PM's and Good Morning now. Oh and if I am tagged, then I'll reply. :) William x

Keep your peckers up folks x
I mean that in a nice way

My bloods last year were horrendous often off the meter saying 'HI' and the meter went up to 33.0

I've got down to single figures and it's been with the help I've got on here along with tweaks in medication and being better educated

30 years of diabetes hell is now under better control

I was diagnosed T2 at 20 wrong diagnosis and told I'm T1 just this July

Like I said earlier I felt SH*T this time last year and long before that

Don't let this bloody awful condition wear you out and please don't give up hope

Love to yous all x

Hi @ Cumberland. Thanks Cumberland very encouraging words for us all. Take care of yourself. Have great evening & everyone else x

You know I'm thankful for the proactive posters on here as to asking why our bodies do what they do. Without their wise answers I'd definitely go mad.
I've been reading some very good books lately and boy can I see the error in my ways.
I can see the solution but no money to make any of them come to fruition. Very frustrating.
Acceptance has rarely been my name/game.
I'm going to have a better xmas than last year, if it kills me. Since returning to north-east I've had a tacky xmas but kids happy(ish). I've had health problem after health problem. This has to change. I'm going to go out of my way to have a good xmas.
The buying starts next payday. My diet has to come second, again. Kids come first. Always will. So I've decided I won't be posting on fasting threads much. I'll watch my weight but Santa is coming!
Ps. You never know I might even lose weight!
We'll miss your posts Vicky and I hope you don't abandon us completely!
I remember very well how tight money was when my kids were small and it's a constant challenge, particularly as they get a bit bigger and want all the trendy toys for Christmas, but not old enough to understand that money has to be made to stretch to cover everything.
It doesn't last though hun and things will get easier as time goes by. But you must remember to take care of yourself first, otherwise you may not be in a position to take care of your beautiful kids!
Wishing you luck, strength and love, and sending big hugs xx

Good Afternoon Folks :).
Attended appointment this morning with Practise Nurse to check my big toe (I had removed the dressing yesterday) and she told me it is infected?? (Not more 'doom and gloom'! :***:). Got prescribed Iodine Dressings to wear for 3 days, then change it to a new one. Seeing my GP next Monday to go through my Medications and hopefully stop or reduce some tablets and for him to check my big toe.
Also, there was a prescription waiting for me at the Practise for the SR Metformin to take 2 x 500mg in the morning and 2 x 500mg in the evening. (Stop after today the bog standard Metformin) Still continue with the 44 units of Insulin every morning too. And to test my Blood sugars more each day than I am doing (only 4 times a day presently)
GP will assess my Blood sugars next Monday and maybe? start reducing Insulin by 2 units at any one time.
William:)

I hope you got an opportunity to drop the new podiatrist in the **** for causing the problem with your toe in the first place!

I wonder if toe clippers pod used has ever been sterilized? Bacteria under toe nails are the worst. I'd love to see if in their job description. Worth asking. ;) I will be in future. ♡♥♡

When I went to Podiatrist he used a new packet of presumably sterile bits... at least that was my impression :)

Hi @ liam1955. Sorry to hear about the infection, I had iodine dressings years ago they are very good so hopefully you will get well soon. Take care x

My podiatrist always uses new sterile pack but like you I've had my toes cut. Hope you get well soon Liam

@debrasue - I told the Practise Nurse the Podiatrist Name and said I would pick her out of an Identity Parade any day. My usual lovely middle aged bubbly woman was off sick, and they sent a replacement from Head Office to take her place.
I take good care of my feet - moisturize them after shower every morning and moisturize every night and put on little slip socks before bed. Never walk around in bare feet, always wear slippers or shoes.
It was the inner side of my big toe where the skin got nicked, did'nt feel it, it was when blood began dripping - she could not stop apologising. R took a photo of my Toe just in case I have to have my Toe removed due to gangrene!!! = He's a bigger "Drama Queen"!!:D

Good evening friends

After tea it's beddybyes nowt I want to watch on telly tonight plus yesterday and today I have felt whacked

I wanted to tag your post as 'Funny' due to your description of R, but it would seem as if I thought your predicament was funny, which it clearly isn't. You did make me smile though!
I hope your toe is better soon, William, and with a bit of luck Karma will ensure that the relief podiatrist stubs her own toe really painfully and then gets gout!
Hugs xxx

@debrasue - Thank You for your really kind words. As I pointed out to R - there is sensation in my Toe, if there was none then I would be really worried. Williamxx:happy:

Good Afternoon @ellagy - just seen your morning to me. Thank You:) And a Good Afternoon to everybody, hope your all enjoying the day so far:)
R is teak oiling his Parents Dining Chair in the outer hall/stairs and the smell is wafting in and smells lovely.
We had made plans (yesterday) to go out to visit a National Trust property today, but, plans got changed. He wanted a lay in this morning and I had household chores to catch up on - have caught up now. The weather is not inspiring anyway. William:)

Sounds like a stay in and do something comfortable day to me William. I hope you enjoy it! I am doing nothing... sitting reading and stroking doggies

@Cumberland - How you doing Ian? Have you and your good Wife settled in your New Home?
Do you find being Type 1 any different to Type 2?
William:)
