BMI and Height

Being aged, and rotund (before I started LCHF), I was idly computing my friends' BMI. I started calculating what my BMI would be if I remained my current 6ft 1" height, but reduced to their current weight (It will happen eventually, given my current success). What we learned was that if I reach their current weight, my BMI would be as much as 3.5 BMI less than they CURRENTLY are. This has caused more than one to review their current diet for improvement
 
You are entitled to your view Contralto, however even you would be motivated by watching your BMI drop from 40.1 to 32.2, so in that regard alone, it is hugely important. Anything to help you "stay on track" and "on course"is hugely important!
 
I'm with you, PNJB. Going from morbidly obese to merely grade II obese was a significant milestone for me. Looking forward to grade I, then merely overweight, and maybe even one day normal.
