Good Morning

Use us and abuse us (well the scream section too) @tina_marie . We're your friends. We are here for you, both. :) :)
Another thing Ron's legs below the knee are swollen. I have seen on here that several of you are experiencing the same problem. Yesterday's seizure started with him relaxing on sofa listening to music through headphones. He fell asleep . Shortly afterwards his right foot started banging on floor , followed by his fingers twitching. His alarm went off for his laxido so went in kitchen to make it up for him. Returned to living room to find him awake but unable to move . His head was to one side. Hands locked together . He drank the laxido through a straw. With the help from our son was able to move Ron to prop him up with pillows. Our son then went to work . After half an hour Ron was uncomfortable so had to move him on my own. By the time Ron was able to move on his own an hour had passed. Leaving his left arm temporary paralised.

Poor man. Also my heart goes out to you because you're seeing all of this. Xxx
The cardiologist asked me in hospital, on friday if I have swollen feet!? It must be a sign of heart/circulation problems. Now. We know Ron has problems but he's never had heart/chest pain, has he? Any sniff of it call an ambulance.
Hasnt Ron been taken to hospital by ambulance recently?

Only chest pain he had was a while ago when he got up to move after not being able to move his legs . He moved from dining table to sofa as he sat down he clutched his chest in pain. Only lasted a split second. He only seems to swell up when on his feet for long periods. Like walking into town and around shops . He gets back home takes of knee brace and both legs are swollen. The first neurologist did say that his gate was abnormal. Then when he had his EMG study done they said there was fluid in the lower legs . Nothing has been done about it as per usual. Ron now wears knee brace all the time when we're out otherwise he would just colapse . It has saved him on a number of occasions. He also wears his back brace too. The pain is getting worse especially today. Think you and Ron should get together and swap notes and give specialists a good kick up the kyber.

That is just it. i dont have a specialist yet. Just diabetes specialist. Depends on heart scan findings will depend on if cardiologist is needed. im hoping breathing problem goes on stopping naproxen and heart scans are all clear. Best scenario! Worst is me having heart disease due to diabetes and excess weight. ive tried to lose weight on lchf but i thought i was losing but it was a new diabetes drug which had to stop due to nasty side effect. Started insulin and added 6-8lb.
Also worst scenerio is my mobility being permanently impaired. Seeing Musculoskeletal team for help. They might have to refer me to a specialist, not sure how it totally works. You and Ron knows more. Now gp reduced my pain relief i might be in more trouble, not sure. i know 76 days is a long time in pain life. gulp!

Take care both of you! xx Please keep us informed Tina x Hugs to you both
Paramedics have been . Ron's in alot of pain . They have checked him over all his vitals are fine . They have said he needs better pain relief at least until he gets to pain clinic next week. Ron didn't want to go to hospital. All they would of done is monitor him which I can do at home. Now my back is on one . He did have more seizures before they came and when they were here . Seizures are brought on by the pain. Now perhaps these doctors will start listening to me . Thanks for all your concerns .

Breathlessness (especially if it comes on suddenly) and swollen legs/ankles/feet and/or arms and hands can be signs of heart problems. If sharp chest pain is also present it can be a sign of inflammation of the membrane surrounding the heart, among other things. Any of these symptoms need to be assessed by a medical professional, sooner rather than later.

Thank you. He was just feeding the dog and his knee gave way . I went to grab him but he just pulled me down with him . With him being in so much pain the seizures came on.

Only feel it if I bend forward . It's not that bad . Had far worse.

@tina_marie I got so annoyed last night when I hear a paramedic helping Ron more than your gp! Why couldnt your gp notice Ron needs more painkiller til he's seen?
Is gp getting told today that Ron needs more painkiller or how is interim increased pain killer going to be actioned? I know paramedics see it all but I'd expect my gp to at least know about pain levels and its effects on certain ailments? I bet your not happy either.
Why is Ron's care turning into a huge joke when the poor man needs help!
I think I need to go to the scream thread! I'm livid.

I've been up all night struggling to breath.....I've got a nasty cold on top of breathing problem. I think its making me grouchy! Hoping tomorrow will be loads better. Olbas oil has become my new best friend. I wish sleep had! Ha ha

I had swollen face and hands but went and now have come back but no heavy chest now, just breathing difficulty. They ruled out heart attack so I'm trying to relax into my cardiac scan appointment. I've suffered with panic attacks fairly recently so I'm trying to keep calm. I'm suspecting inflammation thou! Scan will tell me more.
I still don't know where all this inflammation has come from?
