Anyone tried this?

The Lidl rolls that were mentioned a few times on your previous thread have 9.8g carbs per 100g.
The rolls weight slightly over 90g.
They are very dense, so sliced in half, and one half toasted with a mound of butter feels equivalent to 2 slices of ordinary bread.
It freezes well, so you can have the other half another time.

I really need to go and grab some of those! I've been looking for something could use for like a salad/meat sandwich type thing for lunches, I'm not really enjoying cooking at lunchtime, well I don't enjoy it any time but lunch especially lol

Today for lunch I had 2 hard boiled eggs mashed with mayo and a sliced pickled onion, half a dozen cherry toms and half a Lidl roll, toasted. I feel stuffed and that was over 2 hours ago!

I've had eggs for lunch every day for past week, just looking for bit of a change, I used to like salad sandwiches so I'll get to lidl tom and get some of those rolls

I quite like the livlife bread and also the Lidl Rolls, its nice to be be able to have the occasional slice of bread with soup or a boiled egg.

I have found both LivLife bread, and Burgen bread, to be absolutely fine. Not much different to other breads I used to eat. Just wish I could eat more ;) I haven't tried the Hi-Lo.

Definitely recommend the LivLife. :)

Oh that's a relief, I'll see if I can get in shops here, thank you

Any port in a storm. For preference I get Lidl rolls but if we're in a Waitrose (usually because Mrs DeeJay is hungry and has some cash) I get down on the floor and peer into the back of the bottom bread shelf and if I'm lucky there are one or two Livlife loaves lurking there. It goes in the freezer for toast or a fry-up.

In my opinion Hi-Lo Bread available from Ocado and larger Sainsbury's has a much better taste and is slightly lower in carb / 100g and the slices are a bit bigger.
HiLo isn't bad. Tastes reasonable and I like a slice now and again with some eggs. I usually take a slice straight from the freezer and toast it.
