Hi
My little boy started dexcom yesterday. It's going great although I thought the alarms would be louder than they are but through the night I was not able to hear it go off when he went low. I just wondered if anyone knows how I can down load the information to my phone and if it can alarm from my phone? I've searched and searched but can't find any information?
Thanks very much

Morning, First question is which Dexcom do you have? I'm assuming G4

Best to go to facebook and look for 'nightscout UK' and join the group there. they are fantastic and help you to get this sorted :)

Can you use a baby alarm near his bed?

Yes.....xDrip with Nightscout will alarm on a mobilr phone but in the meantime, try using a longer tube on the pump and put pump outside the bed in a glass dish and then activate a loud alarm. The pump will then sound really loud then.

Thanks very much for your help. It sounds so confusing though. I am so awful with technology. Will use the other ideas in the mean time. Whilst I attempt to work it out! Thankyou

@Vick123 just another thought if your son is using a vibe pump perhaps try taking the skin of his pump I have found the skin dulls the pump alarm so it might help a bit.

Which Dexcom is your son using? If it's a G5 and you have an iPhone the two can communicate via the Dexcom follow app and Bluetooth .

The easiest could be changing the alarm sound to to one that's louder in Dexcom's setup.
