Hello to all,

I'm new to this forum and confused about this diabetes stuff!

I was diagnosed about 2 years ago during a routine checkup.

My blood sugar this morning after I woke up was 6.2. I just checked it again (4 hours after breakfast) and its 8.9! I did a 2nd check on another finger and it reads 8.2! The only thing I have had was a few sips of oolong tea and a piece of sugarless candy.

I'm wondering could it be my meter or faulty test strips? My meter is CareSens N.

Any thoughts???

Nope, meters have a margin of error... 8.9 and 8.2 pretty much fits into the error margin of around 15 - 20% that they can display.

Work stress can raise bg levels, how it affects one person to the next can be different.
