Recent high b/s pattern

I've only been diabetic for 5 months, and carb count however the past few days I've had an average of ~10 mmol/L going all the way up to ~16mmol/L
which is higher than my average of ~6 mmol/L. Does this mean the honeymoon phase is over for me? I have been ill recently which may contribute.
