Any one else get days where it's a constant battle with yourself to stay on the eating plan? I love the low carb diet, but today has been a real struggle not to go off the rails. I've resisted so far (and there is nothing that could do a lot of damage in the house now that I'm back from work) but boy, I've been craving every sweet/carby thing I've walked past today!

Might be a bit of demotivation as I got some unexpectedly high blood sugar readings this morning - shot up from 7.2 on waking to 9.3 before breakfast!! Haven't seen a 9 in ages...

Back to 6.3 after lunch, so maybe just a blip.

Anyway I'll stop rambling now and find something low carb to eat for dinner :)

Yes, I get days like that. Luckily they seem to get less as time goes on.

The only thing to do is have some low carb treats in the house. I can recommend the frozen raspberries with double cream that @bulkbiker suggested recently as an infrequent treat - it turned in to a really lush Mr Whippy texture raspberry ice cream.

That does sound good. Think I remember him posting that.

I do my berries and cream differently.

I like my frozen berries, straight from the freezer (not thawed), with cream poured over them. They then have a coating of frozen cream around them, and are delicious. I'n not keen if the berries thaw.

Snap ! That's exactly how I like mine.. like little mini raspberry mivvis ( those lollies if you can remember them ) They take ages to eat this way and I savour every bit :)
