@CaptainWard - there doesn't appear to be a place where we can ask questions about the running of the forum, so I've put it here.
A few of us have said that we feel nominations for moderator should be kept private, but that has been dismissed with requests to keep the current thread re election on track.
Remembering the last elections, and looking at the way the current thread is running, surely it would be more sensible to keep it private? A public thread will always veer off course, with personal reasons, negative as well as positive, why people should/should not be voted for.
Is there a particular reason it could not be set up as a private vote? I won't be voting for this reason unfortunately, I don't like the current set up.
