I woke up around 4.30 am with a hot back and tested my sugar - 3.7 so I took a little glucose and retested 15 minutes later. I then had something to eat ie my normal breakfast. Should I take my oral diabetic medication at the same time which would be a few hours early?

Patsy, it would be beneficial to know which medication you are talking about. Your profile says you use insulin?

I am on Lantus, Metformin and Gliclazide. My Lantus is not due until 9.30 am

Add "a few hours to 4.30" - around 9 am with breakfast!
