Good Morning

Hello, Back from our morning walk - fleece, hat, scarf and gloves:happy: off out again now to GP:doctor:
Hope everyone has a truly lovely day today

Was walking in the rain this morning. Still, the wind has moved from the freeeeezing easterly that we've been having up here so, pleasant for walking despite the (soft) rain. Hope everyone enjoys their day today

Morning everyone.
Took bandage off this morning on wrist area. Its very sore but small incision so hoping no more temperature like last night. I put a large plaster over it so my watch doesn't rub.
Luckily small bruise only for now but arm is swollen. Hard to carry anything without more soreness. I'll give it one more day of tlc. I so miss its carrying support.
I'm still happy about my angiogram result. Keep smiling.
Long may it continue. Ha ha
Going on statins until cholesterol too low for gp. I'll be sharing my concerns when I see gp next.
Blood tests at gp surgery and running around for insulin at hospital on tuesday morning. No rest for the wicked?
We've stopped little ones nursery. I'm going to teach him to swim and strengthen his numbers and alphabet/word spelling in time for school in September. I need more time on this little one. One on one help will benefit him more.
He is communicating much better and has realised screaming stops me hearing his needs in a clear precise way. He's learning. ;)
Daddy has to escort our swimming thou. For me too.
Looking forward to it. ;) I've had to return to full tramadol use thou. Needs must.
Sorry dishy cardiologist!
What are your exploits today and next few days?

There's a May Day festival in one of Coventry's suburbs tomorrow, the area is called Earlsdon and it's a lovely place, full of little independent shops and it still has a co-op! It feels more like a little village and it's only a 10 minute walk from my house so it feels like a real treat to go up there. There's always morris dancers and the local church hall has a little tea room which supports the WI. The weather forecast is looking promising so I might have darling offspring gracing me with his presence :)

Don't stress yourself too much over teaching little B his letters and numbers, hun - I read a report the other day which said that, by the end of their first year of school, children who knew all their letters and numbers by the time they started school (and in some cases could read simple words), showed no advanced bias compared with their classmates who couldn't. Just take this last brief time to enjoy him - you'll never get it back again. The swimming is a brilliant idea.
I love spending time with the TTs showing them random things on the computer. In the last week we've learned about stuff like the giant redwoods of the USA with roads going through them, where wee and poo comes from, the size of an albatross' wingspan, how baby animals are born, how high a flea could jump if it was a human, and what their house looks like to a bird flying over it (Google Earth). Their wonder and enthusiasm are pure gold...
Great news about the angiogram, but I'm sorry to hear you're still in pain. Big hugs xxx

Wonderful walk in the sunshine this morning, the park was glorious- and empty Yay! We walked beside a little brook, the air was filled with birdsong aaaah!
Then hubby said "right no slacking" and we headed for the wooded hillside trails :) Your day sounds like pure bliss @Diamum5972 I can imagine it all so clearly from your word picture, have a truly lovely time. I hope this will be a great day for us all

Morning all, today looks even better than I expected - my brother Michael is coming along too! He's agreed to change his usual routine (!) and is looking forward to having a look round the stalls with us :)

Struggling a lot with high bgs since angiogram and I have to confess it got me down last night.
I woke on 9.2 which is high for me. No metformin has messed up my insulin need too. Taking much more than I thought I'd need.
Roll on 12th so I can start afresh.
New happy date now along with the 10th when I meet new dietitian and a support group for bariatric surgery.

1/5 - Good Morning from a overcast York and forecasted (much needed) rain today. Hope you all enjoy your Bank Holiday :).

Unfortunately things didn't go according to plan yesterday - the salad I ate for lunch wasn't very fresh and gave me a gippy tum. A didn't want to go without me so Michael ended up going on his own

Oh what a shame Barbara, still that was a huge achievement for Michael to go somewhere different on his own. Well done him. Hope you are feeling better today? We're just off for D's yearly review in a few mins. We're expecting it to be really positive (at last!!). Hope you will have something nice coming up soon for a day out xx @Diamum5972

Oh no. You were looking forward to it too.
Maybe next year?
Are you feeling much better today?

Thanks @13lizanne and @ickihun, the rest was just what I needed. I had forgotten what life was like before I started dashing about like a mad woman :) Michael was really pleased with himself, he popped in on his way back home to show me his purchases - he'd only got a few bits and pieces from the co-op but he recognised how well he'd coped with a change in routine. I praised him profusely of course!

I'm feeling much better today, I had a much better rest last night and I popped up to see mum this afternoon. I caught the bus just to be on the safe side!
I have another outing planned for this weekend, the knitting magazine that I read is running a promotion called Yarn Shop Day. Shops all over the country are taking part in it, they're offering discounts on yarn, books and needles and you get a free pattern (and a free cuppa!) for taking part. My nearest shop is in Sutton Coldfield so I'm getting the train over there in the morning and having a shopping trip in Birmingham on the way back :)

Good morning everyone, it's a beautiful, warm, sunny morning up here. Our car is being picked up for repairs [dented from the deer hitting us] so one of us has to stay home while the other enjoys his morning walk. When hubby gets back I'll get out for my walk, until then I'm a bit bored? :bored:
I trust that the sun is shining where you are and that you are not bored but have a lovely day to look forward to. Hugs to all

Morning everyone, it's just a flying visit today - I have my appointment with the nurse this morning. Hope everyone has a good day xx

Hope it went well, Barbara. :)
Thanks Debs, unfortunately I have put on a couple of kilos but she said concentrate on getting better and then worry about my weight. I told her that my fbg is higher than usual and she said keep an eye on it, if it goes any higher ring the surgery.
