Novorapid's efficacy fades down after 25 days?

My Novorapid was into 25 days of usage from when taken out of the fridge. For the last three days I spiked unusually high. After taking a new Novorapid vial things are back to normal.

Novorapid is supposed to last for 28 days in room temperature. Have you noticed that its potency starts fading as it nears 28 days?

I've seen conversations of the forums before in relation to the life of various insulins. Some people have reported getting only 20 days before some insulins lose potency.

I've also read that in the USA they only get 21 days to use it so I assume that our NHS is trying to make sure that we don't throw too much away. (Can't find the link to this info now - will look again).
 
I keep my novorapid and levemir in a frio wallet just the cartridge's that I am going to use and store the other in the fridge until I need it as I too find that the longer it stays out at room temperature it drops in the effectiveness that you are supposed to get from it and I also keep the spare cartridge in the dark to keep it as near perfect performance as you can have it as when I first started on novorapid it dropped off quickly and I was having to place the pen in the fridge and now I am using a cartridge a lot faster so I am getting the best out of it
 
Hmmm. I'm not hugely surprised that it might die after 20-25 days, but as I've never got Novorapid to last for more than 6 days from a penfill with no issues, I can't really comment!
