Hello everyone, I'm 21 years old and have had t1d since I was 16. I recently posted to this forum for the first time a few weeks ago, about my depression regarding the disease and my extreme neglect for almost a year, and received an amazing amount of support and advice, which which I am beginning to turn my life around. In the post, I had mentioned that I had never experienced signs of complications, but recently, my anxiety has taken hold because of something I've noticed. Sometimes I notice a very slight numbness in my feet, almost exclusively in my big toes, which admittedly have callouses due to my lack of proper footwear. This might be new or might not, as it's something slight enough to not be noticeable unless one was looking for it. I also work a job which requires me to be on my feet walking for at least 8-9 hours a day. Like I said, this numbness is very slight, and I can still tell if there's a rock in my shoe, if my feet are hot/cold etc. So I'm just wondering, am I just being paranoid like I have a storied history of? It might also be important to note that my numbers have seen a huge improvement over the last month or so, going from an average of 18-20 to 5-9. Is there any sort of standardized test or trick to diagnosing the signs of complications?
