You would be surprised how easy this is. It is done with a needle and thread so if you can sew you can do this kind of beading.

No, this is kumihimo
that's a type of braiding using beads on 8 threads that you just weave together. It's very easy and quick to dospook_kate_

Past few days. Now on with girly bag for youngest granddaughter. The first two were for grandsons down Cambridge way so in transit with Mr Hermes right now....

Girly bag completed....two sides of same bag. The flap goes one side to the other...buttoned over pocket on each side...
In with her big sisters one now.....lining it with a nylon type velvet from a duvet cover given to us for dog bedding.....b+gger to cut & pin.....but going OK so far I think. Doing same basic style as the owl one I made for her eldest cousin but decided against inside pockets....velvety stuff isn't suitable

Not a bag, despite its looks....it's a doggy sling....and for a German Shepherd both you & sling need to be strong!! Hopefully temporary whilst his back recovers

Top pic is another granddaughter's bag....can't show the lined bit yet cos took out thru FB messenger.
Bottom is walkies bag that I finished off 3 more of...had been waiting for sliders to come but by time they did I was in full swing doing granddaughters' bags.
Then needed to make the sling today after I finished last bit of bag....walkies bags were ready bar the straps....and luckily machine didn't throw a hissy fit & refuse to sew properly this time
