I have been through a period of taking Aloe Vera juice but I assumed my good BG control was down to low carb. Low carb hasn't been working so well recently and I have had to resort to very low calorie, almost a la Newcastle and cutting out lots of protein.

I have one litre of Aloe Vera juice in the fridge which is still in date (£20 a litre) so when my FS Libre sensors turn up on Saturday I'll monitor for a few days, maybe longer and then take the Aloe Vera to see if there's a difference. Interesting little experiment!

yes please report in here ... I have always been suspicious towards the aloe vera hype, but now maybe I could be covinced of its value

Aloe Vera. Not sure of its affect on BS control. Without doubt it is a brilliant piece of nature, we have a few plants solely for use on cuts, burns, bites and stings.
Wife has in the past drank the juice for IBS with great results.
Every house should have a Aloe Vera plant. :)

Please don't hesitate to remind me, my plan is to start using the FS Libre for a week to get a measure of what's going on and then start to drink the Aloe Vera. HID will be delighted that I've got rid of the 1 litre bottle that she says is taking up fridge space.

Interesting- I always keep a bottle in the fridge in case my IBS flares up......I will suggest this to Hubby, for certain Aloe vera is a powerful medicinal plant so who Knows. Has to be worth a try though :)
