Hello. I just read about a recent Cornell Medical College study involving using food order to decrease post meal glucose levels. They found that eating carbs last during a meal made a huge difference. Wondering if anyone has tried this. If it works, I don't mind taking apart my sandwich.

You could try doing a forum search. I seem to recall this being discussed quite some time ago.

Thanks, I'll try that. Anyway, my first attempt was a failure; I'll try again if I can remember.

My son who has autism, not diabetic eats like this naturally- not always carbs last but always eats his food in blocks - no foods touching on the plate if they do he doesn't eat the bits that touch lol

Last night we had salmon, first all the asparagus then all the salmon then 2 pieces of new potatoes- he only eats until he is not hungry so it can be a struggle sometimes if I over supply veg because he takes the edge of his hunger and doesn't continue on with the other food groups. Also he doesn't eat between meals even if he is hungry, meal times are set and that's that lol
