But after many months all got under control Well over the last 2 yrs i was severe anemic and was they thought bleeding inside so after so many tests i had to stop taking my meloxicam for my Psoriatic arthritis that was about 6 months ago so now i have had a massive flair up not thinking it was this i thought i had caught a bug off the allotment but my hands are so swollen for the last 5 weeks and other joints i have had to wait for an appointment for the hospital and can only take paracetamol so yes i have done much crying with the pain As i cant take any NSAD as it could cause me to bleed insite I am asking if any one has Psoriatic arthritis and what treatment you are on as there is so many new tablets now Hope this was not to long Thanks

Hi @pamK I can't help reacting to posts about arthritis so apologies if your condition isn't just a variety of arthritis. I suffered from a variety and 'cured' myself - gouty arthritis as it used to be called. It was mainly in my big toes, but occasionally I temporarily developed arthritis-like symptoms in my hands, which was a first and quite scary.
I'm not suggesting you administer baking soda to your skin but my logic is this
"As an imbalance in the body’s natural pH level is one of the primary causes of arthritis, baking soda is an effective treatment option. Baking soda helps neutralize the body’s acidic state and return the body to alkalinity. As it does so, baking soda helps relieve arthritis pain and inflammation. "

After seeing off my gout I've never had those symptoms in my hands again. Baking soda is cheap as chips, and it shouldn't take too long to see if it works for your condition.
If you do a search for 'baking soda and arthritis' you'll find lots of leads, or get back to me.

Not being able to take NSAIDs is tough. I havn't got advice except to use cool packs until you get your appointment but I hope you get sorted soon, best wishes.

What are you taking for your arthritis now @pamK? We're you just treating with meloxicam? Are you under a rheumatologist or being treated by your gp?

Thank you all Lakky123 Ihave had different tablets over the years but Meloxicam was my last tablet also paracetamol if needed as i cant take NSADs i have only been able to take paracetamol as the Dr was not sure what to give me I have my appointment tomorrow with the rheumatologist which i hope things will start to get better
