In July my hbac1 was 49. Reduced to 47 and now it’s 43.

Is this back to “normal” now?

Almost.. sub 42 would be considered "normal" or at the very least not pre-diabetic.. but it looks like whatever you have been doing is working for you so keep doing it!

Thanks. Went onto Atkins, cut out the carbs and lost 1.5 stone. Just need to keep it going.

You had the same result as I did, we just missed out on the 'Magic 42' but remember that the A1c is an average so we both just have to be patient and we WILL go into the non diabetic range at our next test. How is that for a deal?

@Nick4344 Well done on your reduction! You are almost in the 'normal' range.
Below 42 is non-diabetic.
42-47 is pre-diabetic
48 and above is diabetic.
Keep on doing whatever you are doing and you should be in the non-diabetic range at your next hbA1c test.
