Type 2 Cosmetic surgery

Newbie
Hi, I have a problem which requires Cosmetic surgery. My GP contacted a consultant who refused to even see me because I was type 2. Just wondering if anyone else has had something like this happen to them or is this normal?

Had to have some dental work done had to have qualified Anaesthetist in attendance before the dentist could go to work. I have also had my gall Bladder Removed Both My Diabetes Doc and Anaesthetist present. I Think Mane problem is the putting you under part . But I think surgeon could not refuse if life-threatening. BUT cosmetic Surgery I think they can
Think hard is your cosmetic problem worth risking your life

Do you have good control of your BS as if the consultant thinks it is too high they might not think the risk would be worth it.

For cosmetic surgery risk may also take into consideration the surgeons reputation if patient died on table as it would not be normal in cosmetic surgery whilst if life or death surgery the risk would be acceptable I think the risk is considered high for Diabetics no matter how good control is. Surgeons can decide the risk is unacceptable.
