Finger pricking device

Hi,

Just discovered that the device I have used for 7 years has been discontinued so hoping for help choosing a new one please...

Been using the AccuChek Multiclix. I have tried their FastClix version but I don't like it as you have to press the end rather than a button to do the pricking.

However I do like it having 6 lancets in the one drum to save changing lancets each time.

Anyone know of anything similar please?

Thanks for your help.

I don't have any alternative suggestions but wanted to say that at first I found the MultiClix awkward with its button on the end but soon just got used to it.
I like the 6 lancets in one and I particularly like the safety of them all being "sucked up" so it is easy to throw away.

I hated the Multiclix at first because of pushing the top down. 6 lancets in 1 drum is a god send as I do change every other test (testing 8+ times a day). You will get used to it after a very short time. Wont go back to a different finger pricker at the mo

Hi,

Thanks for the replies but the multiclix has been discontinued which is why I am looking for an alternative. The fastclix is the one where you push the top down - don't you find that it causes the pricer to go in deeper as you have to press it down?

No, there is a depth controller on the collar at the other end of the device which allows you to limit the "ouchiness" of the prick.
And the button does not require much effort so I don't find it causes the device to go down when you press.

As Helen as said there is an adjustment for depth (or "ouchness" :) ) on the one end. Really is an easy push down
